The 2022/23 season at Andrew (Boy) Charlton Pool is coming to an end. 

Join us across the weekend of Saturday 29 and Sunday 30 April for a final swim and to celebrate another spectacular season. 

There'll be a range of special activities taking place over the weekend.  

Our regular morning Yoga classes across this weekend will be complimentary for everyone to join. 

Come along and stretch, meditate and unwind while taking in one of Sydney's most beautiful waterside views.

Note, bookings are essential and will open 72 hours in advance of the scheduled class time. 

Across the off-season we want to see you continue your swimming routine and stay active.

Ian Thorpe Aquatic Centre is celebrating its 15 year anniversary this month!

The 50m pool has re-opened (Sunday 9 July) 

Extensive maintenance works will begin in May 2024 after the pool is closed for the cooler months. 

We expect to re-open the upgraded pool in September 2025.

Andrew (Boy) Charlton Pool operates seasonally and closes from 1 May to 31 August every year.

The pool will re-open as normal on Saturday 25 March. 

Due to urgent maintenance, the 50m pool at Andrew (Boy) Charlton Pool will be closed on Friday 24 March.

 The learn to swim and squad programs will not run, and group fitness will run on a limited timetable.  

Alternate operating hours will be in place for the public holiday on Friday 26 January.

Please be advised due to a scheduled swimming event, 2 x 50m lanes will be available to the public between 5:00 to 8:00pm on Thursday 19 October

A ‘1 IN, 1 OUT’ rule is now in place, a second FREE PLAY lane will open at 10:30am in the 50m pool. 

The 20m Program Pool has now reached operational capacity. 

In the event any pool reaches its safe operational capacity, a ‘1 in, 1 out’ rule will apply.

High temperatures are forecast on Saturday 9 December during our scheduled open day, and high demand for access to our facilities is to be expected.
